The campaign has been enticing people to participate in a range of competitions by commenting, sending pictures or by answering poll questions. The winners will be announced on 14th.
Earlier, the leading global food marketplace ran a similar campaign for the FIFA World Cup which was successful and was met with positive feedback by social media followers. A pre-event campaign had garnered over 800 percent growth in interaction on its Facebook page.
Recently, foodpanda managed to successfully raise $60million for its plan to establish itself in emerging markets. Two of the group of companies who invested were Rocket Internet AG and Falcon Edge Capital, which shows that the company is commitment to growth and improving customer service.
