The comedian making food has gone viral with the help of a snail and snail food blog, as well as a series of celebrity endorsements.
In a video on his blog, actor-comedian Sridhar Kapoor makes his way through the kitchen of a kitchen in Mumbai’s Maratha Marg area, where he prepares meals for his friend-turned-clientele, who live in the suburb of Gopalganj.
“I use the term snail food because snail shells are the basis of this food,” Kapoor says in the video, which has been viewed over 12 million times.
“You can’t just throw it away.”
His friend-to-be, Akshay, has a similar experience, though he adds that he’s not the type to “throw away”.
“I’m very mindful of the quality of my food and how it is prepared,” he says in a video that was shared on social media.
“If it’s good, I eat it.
If it’s bad, I don’t.”
In an interview with the Indian Express, Kapoor said he uses a mix of coconut milk and rice to make his snail food.
“The only thing that you can eat is a small amount of coconut, and that’s it,” he said.
“Coconut milk is good, but rice is also good.
But when you make the rice, it’s a little bit different.”
Sridhar Kapoor, who is a professional actor and a comedian, says he uses snail food to make food for his clients in Mumbai.
The video has already been viewed more than 11 million times, with many viewers sharing their experiences.
“This is the first time I have ever heard of a celebrity endorsement for this type of food,” says Jyoti, a Facebook user who shared a video of her friend making snail-food for her.
“It’s not even a joke,” she said.
Kapoor is one of the celebrity chefs who have made food for celebrities in the past, including Jay Z and Beyonce.
In May this year, he hosted an event at the Mumbai Restaurant and Hotel where he made a meal for Jay Z, who was in town for the MTV Video Music Awards.
In January, Kapur’s wife, Sanya, and their three children, Saju, Ajanu and Suresh, also participated in a cooking competition at the Taj Mahal, which took place at Mumbai’s Marriott Hotel.
“Sanya is a cook, she cooks for celebrities.
She makes their meals for them,” said Kapoor, referring to the Taj restaurant where his wife is a chef.”
She makes their meal for us and they do our dishes,” he added.”
Everyday, my wife and I cook for celebrities.”
While many people are excited about this new celebrity endorsement, many others are worried that the food will be made from the same animal, according to social media users.
“Do you think they will use that animal again?
It’s very sad.
This is an old tradition,” a Facebook post by a user who goes by the name Gautam Kulkarni said.
“This is just like eating a cow.
It is not new.
If you eat a cow, you know it’s made from a cow.”
Akshay Kapoor has made a series, including one in which he makes snail food for celebrity guests in Mumbai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata.
